Diogo Andreola Serraglio had the unique opportunity to put forward RESAMA’s researches on human mobility in the context of the adverse effects of climate change in Latin America during the 2019 Human Rights & Climate Change Dialogues at the United Nations Office at Geneva.
The Roundtable on Human Mobility took place in the afternoon of November 5th, 2019, and was organised by the United Nations Human Rights Office to the High Commissioner (OHCHR) in partnership with the Platform on Disaster Displacement (PDD), the Center of International Environmental Law (CIEL) and Earthjustice.
The event aimed at fostering the conversation about the role of key policy processes and address the interplay between human rights in the context of climate change and human mobility, as well as discussing the remaining protection gaps in these areas and the role of key intergovernmental processes and actors to address such gaps.
