On October 1st, 2019, Luiza de Moura Pallone represented RESAMA at the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC)’s Annual Conference entitled “The Road to 2030: Finding solutions to internal displacement”, which was held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The event gathered researchers and practitioners from different organizations and countries to discuss feasible strategies, action points and innovative tools to promote solutions to internal displacement. Luiza’s presentation was allocated in the panel “Understanding displacement – scale, severity, risk and impacts”, and covered RESAMA’s latest research on Brazil’s official disaster information system and data collection procedures.
